Europe Day Award [May 9 each year]
The historical roots of European Union go back to the times of World War II. The idea of European integration was born as a desire to prevent similar crimes and destruction forever. Robert Schuman, the French minister of foreign affaires, presented such a project on May 9, 1950 for the first time. This date is recognized as the birthday of the present European Union and is also celebrated as "European Day" every year. To celebrate this momentous event, the "European Day Award" is issued by the editorial staff of MK QTC. At least 30 QSOs with any stations from the countries which are the members of the European Union should be made on May 9 to obtain the award. Send a log extract and fee noted above.

Membership in SPCWC is available to any operator or listener whogives an evidence of contacts on CW with 3 SPCWC members or gives an evidence of at least 100 contacts on CW with different amateur radio stations during last year. Membership available to all interest stations. The application to SPCWC should contain the list of required QSOs confirmed by two members of any telegraphic clubs associated in EUCW. The Membership Award is considered to be an evidence of membership. An applicant should only pay for printout of the award and for the postage, 10 Euro or 12 USD or 12 IRC all together. This is good for lifelong membership and there are no other fees. Membership in SPCWC is invalidated as a result of resignation. The member of SPCWC is entitled to use a logo of the Club. The logo should be clearly exposed on member’s QSL cards. SPCWC is a member of European Association of Telegraphic Clubs: EUCW.
