During WWII, he was a major general of a tank division and twice decorated as a Hero of Soviet Union. Alsanov's tank men participated in the liberation of numerous cities. In January 1945 he was badly wounded and died in action. He was awarded with the Lenin's order, three orders of Red Colours, Suvaorov's Order (II Degree), Alexander Nevskiy's Order, the order of the Great patriotic War (I Degree). reference lists) ITALY FIRE BELT AWARD The "fire belt award " has been created keeping in mind the several disasters involving loss of life and property over the last 10 years which are linked to the dangers of volcanic activity. The award requires contacts with at least 15 of the 21 countries in all continents, which contain volcanos. When a country , such as the Philippines or Japan, are composed of several islands, the contact must be made with the island where the volcano is located. For example if we consider the Philippines the contact must be made with Luzon island. For Italy the contact must take place with Sicily for Etna or with Stromboli Island for the Stromboli volcano. Section/Department sponsors the permanent award honoring the "Italian Navy Seal". The award is dedicated to the memory of the "Italian Seals" particularly to the M/bsm (Battaglione San Marco) Filippo MONTESI, who was killed during a peacekeeping operation in Lebanon. E-mail: ik7imq@libero.it Tks IT9MRM 5/27/09 ITALY DIPLOMA MUNICIPI ITALIANI (DMI) The word "Municipio" stands for the building which contains the mayor and city council. All Italian cities which contain such a building are valid for the award. Each such municipal building has been cataloged with a serial number such as "ROME DMI-5914." There are two categories of Diploma DMI: Hunter and Expeditioner. The award is free and will be sent via e-mail in PDF format, ready to be printed directly from the applicant with a common printer. Award levels for the "Hunters" are bronze, silver, gold , and platinum for different steps of up to 250 references. If you do not have a printer, you may request the sponsor to mail you the appropriate award by sending the sum of 10 euros or $US14 U.S. dollars to cover expenses (no IRC or other currencies). For the basic award, you must have contacted a minimum of 20 references for Italians, 10 references to Europeans, and just 5 references for other countries. A special diploma Honor Roll will be issued to those who have qso at least one reference for each region (20 references). Valid operations of activation of references must be conducted in the vicinity of the building but may be no further than 500 meters from the outer perimeter of the building or at least as near as possible. Any fixed stations must produce appropriate documentation to demonstrate maximum distance of 500 meters. Refer to the website for a complete list of valid locations. . A separate set of rules applies to those stations which activate the municipalities. They concern minimum number of contacts, number of activations each day, and how to verifiy newly activated buildings. Valid lakes must be designated on a map in scale 1:50000, have a proper name and cover an area not less than one square kilometre. All QSOs/SWLs with /MM radiostaions, radiostaions located on reservoir's islands or in coastal edge (no more than 100 meters from reservoir) are valid. Each reservoir has identification number "RL" (Russian Lake) + Russian oblast abbreviation + serial number starting from 001. For example: RL-LO-001, RL-KL-002 etc. Some reservoirs can have several numbers as they are located in different areas (krai, oblast, republic). For example, Lake Baikal is located in Irkutsk oblast and Republic Buryatiya, and accordingly it has two identifiers - IR and BU. In this case Lake Baikal will have two numbers, for example, IR-001 and BU-001 but to be valid as one reservoir. This will be specified in the list of the activated lakes (see below). Worked All Counties - confirm an entity in every county of the United States which has an entity. 4. D-Series - A series of awards based upon the number of entities an operator has worked. The D10 award is granted when an operator works 10 entities, the D25 when an operator works 25, D50, D100, D150, etc. 5. R-Series - Similar to the D-series, except the number references the amount of a particular host railroad's entities an operator has worked. 6. Round Trip Award - Given for working a rover station driving from depot to depot along current or past line's approximate route. Endorsements are available for applications which list that all contacts were: made on a single band, single mode, QRP (<5 watts), 5-Bands, VHF (above 50 MHz), and those who meet the requirements of one of the awards listed above using depots of one host railroad.
